Gov. Andrew Cuomo is asking the state Legislature for $750 million to fund a seventh round of his regional economic development council initiative, but one Cayuga County state senator thinks it’s time to re-evaluate the program.
State Sen. Jim Seward said in an interview with The Citizen that while he likes the regional councils’ bottom-up approach, he believes there needs to be changes to how the 10 panels operate.
