Valerie Knoblauch admits that being the leader of a tourism agency promoting Ontario County is not a bad gig, given the multitude of attractions the county offers.
On the west side, there’s shopping Mecca Victor. In the county’s midsection, Canandaigua and its historical downtown and multiethnic cuisine, as well as its lakefront, which is undergoing a multi-million-dollar facelift. To the south, Naples, and its small-town charm firmly entrenched in all things grape.
And then there’s Geneva, sitting atop of Seneca Lake amid a myriad of wineries that draw visitors from all over the world. And now it boasts one of the most talked-about restaurant and drink scenes in the region centered on the tiny but ultra-cool Linden Street.
