Sheriff: Cayuga County brothers facing felony charges after domestic incident

Two brothers have been arrested following an alleged domestic incident Thursday, Cayuga County Sheriff David Gould said. A caller reported an altercation that occurred at 1073 Connors Road in Springport. The person who contacted authorities said there was a man stabbed at the location.

While an investigation found no stabbing occurred at the property, there was allegedly a violent incident between two brothers — James Bilak, 31, and Thomas Bilak, 36, both of whom live at the residence. Thomas Bilak allegedly armed himself with a knife during the altercation. He’s been charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.
