Geneva Red Kettle campaign surpasses goal

The officers in charge of the Salvation Army of Geneva say the organization enjoyed a very successful Red Kettle season in 2016.

“We reached our goal of $55,000. Our final kettle total was $56,279,” said Lt. Luis Martínez, executive director and pastor of the Geneva Army. “Because of the awesome community of Geneva, the Army was able to provide food and toys to 390 families at Christmas. The amount we raised through kettles will continue to help families with rent, utilities, food and clothing assistance during the coming year. We are grateful and we would like to thank everyone that helped make this kettle season so successful.”
