The Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles captured their first Wayne County League Championship since 2014 with a 60-50 victory over East Rochester on Wednesday night in Clyde in a game streamed live on FL1 Sports. After the game, C-S junior point guard Derrick Chance spoke to FL1 Sports about the league title. “It means a lot. The whole year we had a couple goals to accomplish. One of them was was to win the league, the next was to win Sectionals. This was the first step.”
Meanwhile in Pal-Mac, the Mynderse Lady Blue Devils took at a 20-18 lead in to halftime and held on after a late 4th quarter run by the host Red Raiders to secure a 2 point win. The win gives Mynderse and head coach Jerry Anderson the outright Finger Lakes East Championship and moves them into the top spot of the Section V Class B point standings. Mynderse is back in action Friday at Newark.
