Power has been restored for NYSEG customers in the Auburn area after a nearly two-hour long outage Thursday morning.
Bob Pass, a NYSEG spokesman, said it was initially reported that 2,620 customers were affected in Auburn and surrounding towns, but it was actually 1,253 customers who lost power.
