Syracuse man charged in Skaneateles motorcycle theft

A 35-year-old Syracuse man is accused of stealing a motorcycle, according to State Police.

Troopers say that John B. Betsey III, 35, of Syracuse was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property — a Class E felony.

Betsey is accused of possessing a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle that was reported stolen from a shed on Sheldon Road in the Town of Skaneateles in August of last year.

He was arraigned in Syracuse City Court and held at the Onondaga County Justice Center, according to a press release.

No additional details were released regarding the incident. The circumstances leading to Betsey’s arrest were also not made clear.
