Breezy, but turning sunny for the Finger Lakes Wednesday

A few lingering snow showers remain scattered across the Finger Lakes this morning as yesterday’s storm systems pull away from the region. These snow showers will not accumulate much but may keep secondary roads a bit sloppy into the mid and late morning hours.

Outside of the snow showers, there are already some breaks in the clouds showing up. Skies are mostly clear across Michigan, and these clear skies should push into the Finger Lakes later today. Look for increasing amounts of sunshine and decreasing snow showers this morning, followed by a good deal of sunshine this afternoon.

Temperatures across the region are mostly starting the day in the low 30s. The sunshine will help many areas rise into the upper 30s this afternoon. This is a bit above normal to start the new month. The wind will pick up through the day as well, with top wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph. That will cause a bit of a wind chill that will counteract the warmer than normal temperatures.
