Police: Auburn man who crashed his truck on Friday facing weapons charge

An Auburn man who led police on a chase before crashing his truck on Friday is facing more charges from an alleged incident in December.

The Auburn Police Department said on Dec. 27, Galen R. Sikes, of Auburn held a pocket knife to his roommate’s throat. Though the person did not sustain any injuries, police charged Sikes with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. The 27-year-old was picked up on an arrest warrant Jan. 30 and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail.
