An Auburn man who allegedly refused to stop for police and crashed a vehicle Friday night was charged with two misdemeanors and several traffic violations, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Galen R. Sikes, 27, of Auburn was arrested and charged with third-degree fleeing an officer and reckless driving, both misdemeanors, as well as violations concerning lights, a turn signal and light lamps, police said Saturday.
Sikes reportedly took off when an officer tried to stop him Friday night, making several turns before eventually losing control of his pickup truck and crashing into trees along Osborne Street.
