High school basketball action returned to area gymnasiums on Thursday after mid-term break with eight Finger Lakes West teams in action. League leaders Marcus Whitman won their 12th straight contest dispatching with Romulus while Bloomfield snapped a 4-game skid and Honeoye picked up their third straight victory defeating Naples.
In girls action, the Mynderse Lady Blue Devils went on the road and defeated Wayne to strengthen their hold atop the Finger Lakes East as well as Section V Class B point standings. Meanwhile, Red Creek wins a thriller at East Rochester.
