Traffic stop leads to Sodus man’s arrest for DWI


A Sodus man was charged January 26th following a traffic stop, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.

Anthony Crawford, 54, was stopped on Ridge Road in the town of Sodus for speeding and failing to dim his high beams, deputies said.

An investigation revealed Crawford had allegedly been operating his motor vehicle while intoxicated. His blood-alcohol content was .31 percent.

He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content higher than .08 percent, as well as multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

He was issued appearance tickets for Sodus Town and released.
