The Canandaigua Police Department reports that a 54-year-old Canandaigua resident struck a light pole on the City Pier while operating a vehicle in an intoxicated state.
Police say Carl T. Anderson, 54, of Canandaigua was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, fourth-degree criminal mischief and improper left turn on January 19th after striking a light pole on the City Pier around 4:08 pm.
Officers tell us that Anderson had a blood-alcohol content of .19 percent. He will answer the charges at a later date.
