On Wednesday, a special committee in Seneca Falls met to give a presentation on recently-enacted Local Law No. 3, as well as other environmental issues. While the committee is not officially sanctioned by the Town Board, this environmental committee acts to inform community members of the realities facing Seneca Falls.
Wednesday’s educational session lasted a little more than one-hour and highlighted the need for greater awareness, planning, and execution as it pertained to recycling, waste disposal, and more.
Local Law No, 3 is the controversial law, which was passed at the end of 2016. The law limits current- and future-solid waste facilities — preventing them from operating in the Town of Seneca Falls beyond December 31st, 2025.
