As Karl Karlsen awaits a trial in California, his murder case in New York took another twist Tuesday.
Seneca County District Attorney Barry Porsch and well-known appeals attorney John Cirando argued Karlsen’s case before the Fourth Judicial Department of state Supreme Court’s Appellate Division in Rochester. Karlsen is hoping to overturn his conviction on second-degree murder in the 2008 death of his then-23-year-old son, Levi.
