On Monday at approximately 2:41 pm the Seneca Falls Police Department was called to Black Brook Road for the report of a one car personal injury motor vehicle accident.
The report was received after the car hit a NYSEG pole and ended up off the road. When officers arrived on scene, the driver, who was identified as Rachel E. Sloan of Seneca Falls said that she had hit a patch of ice — losing control of her vehicle.
She hit the pole head on, which the impact of the vehicle caused the NYSEG pole to split in half. North Seneca Ambulance transported Sloan to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene. She was issued a ticket for having an unregistered motor vehicle.
