A 41-year-old Connecticut man was charged with driving while intoxicated after officers with the Penn Yan Police Department were called to investigate a ‘suspicious vehicle’ on Lake Street.
Officers report that Keith Rodgerson, 41, of Wilton, Connecticut was arrested after they arrived on scene of the reported suspicious vehicle and detected the odor of alcohol and marijuana coming from his vehicle. He was placed through a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed and was subsequently taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.
When taken to the Yates County Jail, he refused to take a chemical breath test and was subsequently arraigned in Village of Penn Yan Court. The charges will be answered this week in court.
