With a possible lawsuit related to Geneva Foundry lead and arsenic contamination looming, City Councilors endured searing criticism from some residents at Wednesday’s meeting.
The criticism took place during a public comment period and was led by Jim Meaney, a city resident who is the author of a blog called “Geneva Believer.” Meaney has criticized the city’s handling of the contamination, which resulted in lead and arsenic settling in soil surrounding the former foundry site on Jackson Street.
