Seneca County’s chief deputy honored with Award of Valor

A Seneca County police officer who put his life on the line during a standoff at the end of last summer was honored for his actions, along with four of his colleagues.

County sheriff’s office Chief Deputy Kipp Goodman, who was the police negotiator during the incident in Border City, received the Award of Valor from Sheriff Tim Luce and Undersheriff John Cleere. Sgt. Chris Constable, Inv. Mike Strohm, Sgt. Mike Rhinehart and Deputy Matt Scaglione were recognized with letters of commendation.
