The Auburn Police Departments reports that a 30-year-old Lansing man was charged after an investigation into an incident that happened during the fall.
On Sunday officers arrested Christopher Dewey, 30, of Lansing after an investigation into an incident where he allegedly broke into a 23-year-old woman’s home on Mann Street.
The incident took place on October 15th, according to police.
During that incident, Dewey assaulted the 23-year-old, even choking and threatening her. The entire ordeal lasted 30 minutes, according to police.
He was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree strangulation. All of those charges are felonies.
Dewey was also charged with misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief.
All of the charges will be answered in Auburn City Court.
