A 29-year-old Lyons man was arrested for obstructing justice during a traffic stop, according to deputies in Wayne County.
Charles Thomas, 29, of Lyons was arrested for second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after he allegedly interfered in a traffic stop. Deputies say that Thomas was not in the vehicle being stopped and subsequently yelled obscenities after being asked to stop. He eventually became physical with the deputy, which prompted the arrest.
Thomas was arraigned in Galen Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,500 bond. He’s scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court to answer the charges.
