Suspect sought in armed robbery at Auburn Discount Liquor

The Auburn Police Department says they’re asking for the public’s help in locating and identifying a suspect from a robbery that took place on Monday.

Around 5:30 pm officers were dispatched to 21 Seminary Street for a robbery that had just occurred. Those at the location say a black male, who was said to be tall, skinny, and wearing all black clothing — entered the Auburn Discount Liquor store with intentions of robbing the establishment.

A The male brandished what appeared to be a black and silver handgun and demanded money from the clerk. A physical altercation ensued between the clerk and suspect. The suspect then fled on foot.

The clerk sustained minor injuries and was treated at Auburn Community Hospital. He was later released. The male is unknown to police at this time and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
