Buffalo man faces multiple felony charges after suspicious vehicle complaint in Tyre

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday at approximately 10 pm deputies arrested Adolphus Nelson III, 41, of Buffalo on State Route 318 in Tyre for driving while intoxicated, operating with a .08 or more, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

All of the charges were felony charges, except for an additional criminal possession of a controlled substance charge, which followed the incident.

The arrest stemmed from the report of a suspicious vehicle in Tyre. When deputies investigated the vehicle Nelson was found to be operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state, while in possession of narcotics.

He was arraigned in Tyre Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 secured bond.

Nelson will reappear in Tyre Court on December 28th for his preliminary hearing.
