Deputies in Ontario County arrested a Canandaigua man after an investigation into an alleged theft.
Chancey W. Schenk, 25, of Canandaigua was arrested on December 22nd after an investigation revealed that he had stole property consisting of a laptop computer and other items — valued at more than $1,000. The theft happened between November 15th and November 21st, according to investigators. The items were allegedly taken from a residence where Schenk had been residing in Bloomfield.
He was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, according to deputies.
He was arraigned in East Bloomfield Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of bail. The charges will be answered again at a later date.
