An adult and child who were thought to have been hit by a truck through initial calls to 911 Friday morning had actually fallen in the Wal-Mart parking lot and were not hit by a vehicle, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Police said a woman and her child were walking in the parking lot when a black pickup truck was backing up out of a parking space. The woman pushed her child out of the way, but neither were struck. The truck continued out of the parking lot and onto Grant Avenue.
