A motion held over at the last Ontario County Board of Supervisors meeting is expected to resurface at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The measure authorizes the county to request a variance from the state Department of Environmental Conservation on behalf of Casella Waste Systems, the company that operates the county landfill. The variance would allow the use of a heat process to seal geomembrane liner sections at the landfill when the temperature is below 32 degrees.
