A number of minor arrests were reported by local authorities in Ontario County.
Deputies arrested Mark J. Spath, 46, of Rochester on Saturday, December 10th at 5:19 pm after a traffic stop on State Route 96 in the Town of Victor. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and is accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing marijuana. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop for which Spath was ticketed for following too closely, according to deputies. He will answer the charges in Victor Town Court.
Deputies arrested Marrisa A. Sweltz, 25, of Avoca for violating probation. She was arraigned in Hopewell Town Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of bail. She will answer the charges in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
Deputies arrested Michael Henry Stapley, 30, of Piffard after a rollover crash in Bristol. They say that Stapley swerved to miss a deer and lost control of his vehicle. Deputies say that he was driving with a revoked license and was subsequently arrested on two counts of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, as well as failure to keep right. He will answer the charges in Bristol Town Court.
Deputies arrested Jonathan D. Mocny, 30, of no permanent address on December 8th at 11:57 am. He was arrested on a bench warrant that had been issued in Ontario County Supreme Court for violating the terms of his probation. He was transported to the Ontario County Jail and will be arraigned at a later date.
Deputies arrested Alexandria N. Slezak, 19, of Victor on December 12th on an active bench warrant for having failed to appear for a scheduled court appearance in Victor Town Court. She was arraigned and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of bail. She’ll answer the charge in Victor Town Court at a later date.
Deputies arrested Jason Lee Pearo, 28, of Farmington after he allegedly stole a pair of glasses frames from Lens Crafters valued at $170. Deputies say he left the store without paying for the frames and was charged with petit larceny.
