The battle between two elected offices in the Town of Walworth highlight the struggle that most small communities face. A Town Clerk, who has been out of work for an extended period of time is not forced to keep any regular hours, putting taxpayers and residents in a tough place. The Town Board, appears to be almost powerless, unless they adopt a local law, forcing the clerk’s office to keep regular hours.
