Two Lyons women are facing serious charges after they allegedly falsified day care time sheets, and failed to report or stop sexual abuse.
Deputies in Wayne County arrested Crystal Wood, 26, and Courtney Wood, 55, after they fraudulently submitted time sheets to the Wayne County Department of Social Services for child care that was never even administered.
Investigators say that the pair received payment for the services, which were never actually provided at all. Those investigators also say that the pair knew about sexual abuse and failed to report it.
The two were charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, 12 counts of offering a false instrument for filing, welfare fraud, and petit larceny.
They were remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail.
