A pair of Red Creek residents were injured in an accident that happened around 7:30 am on County Road 7 in Manchester.
The accident happened Monday morning, when road conditions were still giving motorists a challenge in the Finger Lakes.
Deputies say that Melissa A. Benjamin, 38, of Red Creek was traveling south on County Road 7 when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow covered road and entered a ditch of the northbound shoulder.
The vehicle overturned and came to rest on it’s roof. Benjamin was briefly trapped inside the vehicle and was eventually transported to Newark Hospital by Shortsville Ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.
Leah C. Baldwin, 29, of Red Creek suffered a minor arm injury, and was transported to Newark Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance.
Baldwin’s daughter, who is said to be 1-year-old, was not injured in the accident. She was properly secured in her car seat.
No tickets were issued and the Manchester Fire Department assisted at the scene.
