The Seneca Falls Police Department reports on December 8th at approximately 1:32 am officers arrested Walter J. Fortunato Jr., 34, of Lancaster, New York for driving while intoxicated.
Officers say that Fortunato was observed crossing a double-solid line on State Route 5 in Seneca Falls and was subsequently stopped. When he was stopped officers learned that he was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08 percent and driving out of restriction.
Fortunato was arraigned in Seneca Falls where he was released on his own recognizance. He will answer the charges on December 14th in Seneca Falls Town Court.
