The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday at approximately 6:51 they responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of State Routes 332 and 96.
Deputies say that a vehicle being operated by Kimphuong Tran was traveling north on State Route 332 and a second vehicle being operated by Dustin Drover was traveling south on State Route 332. When the two vehicle arrived at the intersection, the traffic light was green for both. Tran’s vehicle continued through the intersection – while Drover’s vehicle made a left hand turn into the path of Tran’s car.
Airbags deployed in both vehicles. Tran was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of head pain. The passenger in Drover’s vehicle was also taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for complaints of chest pain. While Drover himself was transported to Strong for treatment of shoulder pain. Drover was issued traffic tickets for aggravated unlicensed operation, operating without a license, failure to yield the right of way, and unsafe tires.
All parties involved were wearing seat belts, according to deputies. The charges will be answered in Farmington Town Court at a later date.
