Ontario Co. Police Blotter: Several arrests made by deputies to start December

A number of arrests were made in Ontario County through the first week of December. The following were reported by law enforcement through December 7th.

Reneisha D. Edwards, 19, of Rochester was arrested on December 3rd for fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property after she allegedly stole a $29 Calvin Klein shirt from the Von Maur store located inside Eastview Mall. She was issued an appearance ticket for the charge and will appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.

Daniel Lutner was arrested at 9:50 pm on December 3rd for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second-degree following a routine traffic stop on State Route 21 in the Town of Canandaigua. During the investigation deputies learned that Lutner had an active warrant out of Rochester for a previous aggravated unlicensed operation conviction. He was issued traffic citations for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second- and third-degree.

Morris J. Loyd, 47, of Rochester was arrested on December 5th around 2:57 pm in the Town of Richmond on a bench warrant. That warrant was issued out of Geneva Town Court for having violated his conditions of a sentence imposed. Loyd was arraigned in Geneva Town Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail without bail. He will answer the charges in Geneva Town Court at a later date.

Deputies arrested William J. Vandy, 44, of Geneva for a violation of probation after he allegedly violated the conditions of his probation. Vandy was committed to the Ontario County Jail and will answer the charge at a later date.

Anthony F. Thomas, 23, of Rochester was arrested by deputies on December 6th around 8:47 pm on an arrest warrant issued by the Irondequoit Police Department for criminal contempt in the first degree. He was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Irondequoit Police Department.

Bailey E. Carter, 19, of Geneva was arrested for petit larceny when she allegedly stole a pair of jeans valued at $128 from the Madewell store on November 28th at Eastview Mall. She will appear in Victor Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.

Richard A. DeKenipp was arrested at Walmart in the Town of Victor on December 6th for falsifying business records in the first degree. He allegedly stole a front carrier for a bike and returned it for money. He was taken into custody and transported to Farmington Town Court for arraignment. He was remanded to the Ontario County Jail without bail and will appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.

Jennifer L. Pool, 26, of Newark was arrested by deputies on December 5th for violating drug court terms. The arrest was based on a bench warrant issued by Judge Aronson in Ontario County. She is being held in Ontario County Jail. The charges will be answered in Ontario County Court.

Niayara M. Henderson, 16, of Rochester was arrested for disorderly conduct based on a criminal summons, which was issued out of Victor Town Court following a fight investigation at Eastview Mall. That incident took place on November 21st. Henderson will answer the charges in Victor Town Court.

Bridgette and Larry Smith, 30- and 31-years-old respectively, were both arrested for petit larceny in Ontario County based on an investigation that revealed the two were receiving public assistance from the Department of Social Services while failing to report income that Larry had made from selling illegal drugs earlier in the year. This resulted in a larceny of $171.43 from the Ontario County Department of Social Services. Both were issued appearance tickets to answer the charges in Geneva City Court.
