Despite recent controversy, Canandaigua VA gets high marks for quality of care

The Canandaigua Veterans Affairs Medical Center gets high marks in internal quality-of-care ratings, although the rankings predate some of the recent controversy over the handling of suicide hotline calls at an associated unit.

According to data obtained by the USA Today Network, the Canandaigua VA Medical Center was given a ranking of “4” on the Department of Veterans Affairs’ five-point Quality of Care rating system in the fourth quarter of 2015.
