Geneva man arrested after preventing victim from calling 911 during domestic incident

A Geneva man was arrested in Canandaigua after he allegedly prevented an individual from making a 911 call during a domestic incident.

Police in Canandaigua say that William F. Newbrook Jr., 25, of Geneva was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree harassment after a domestic incident. Newrbrook allegedly prevented a victim of a domestic violence incident from calling 911 by grabbing the victim’s wrists and body parts.

The incident allegedly took place in the presence of a minor under the age of 17.

He will answer the charges in Canandaigua City Court at a later date.
