Two dozen emergency response trailers have been deployed across the state, including Cayuga County, to respond as needed to crude oil spills, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday.
Cuomo’s office said in a statement that 24 trailers will be stationed in key locations relative to where crude oil is transported by rail. Each trailer is loaded with equipment designed to control a crude oil or petroleum spill, such as absorbent materials and oil containment booms.
