A 36-year-old Burdett man was arrested by Penn Yan Police after he was found to be in possession of stolen property.
Officers say that Chad Smith was arrested for criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth and fifth degrees on Wednesday at 11:30 am. One count is a felony charge, while the second is a misdemeanor, according to police.
He was arrested after he was allegedly found in possession of stolen property, which consisted of three guns and a compound bow, which he then sold to another party.
Smith was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court and released on his own recognizance.
