NBC’s Today Show coming to Seneca Falls in December for the “It’s A Wonderful Life” anniversary

A major announcement was made this morning by Seneca County Tourism Marketing Director Rick Newman who says that the Today Show is coming to Seneca Falls next month.

It will be a taped segment, which will be aired later in the month of December, according to Newman, who said that this was a huge opportunity for the Town.

As the story goes, Frank Capra visited Seneca Falls while seeing family in Auburn. His film, which would be based around a fictional community called Bedford Falls, shares many characteristics with Seneca Falls. The iconic bridge, architecture, and many other roots seen in the movie — are said to be inspired by Seneca Falls.
