Waterloo man accused of pushing, choking roommate during physical altercation

The Waterloo Police Department reports the arrest of a 21-year-old male after a physical altercation, which officers say took place in front of a minor.

Michael D. White, 21, of Waterloo was arrested for criminal obstruction of breathing, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment in the second degree.

Officers say White allegedly was involved in a physical altercation with a roommate where he pushed her around and placed his hands around her throat — applying pressure. The altercation took place in the presence of a 12-year-old child.

White was arraigned in Fayette Town Court and released. A stay away order of protection was issued on behalf of both the victim, as well as the 12-year-old.

He will answer the charges in Waterloo Village Court at a later date.
