Canandaigua pair allegedly left children home alone during domestic dispute

A Canandaigua couple have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after reportedly leaving two children unattended for an extended period of time.

Officers say that Jennifer L. Tiberio, 31, and William R. Phelan, 32, both of Canandaigua were charged with endangering the welfare of a child on November 12th at approximately 11:34 pm.

They are accused of leaving two children — aged one- and three-years-old home alone for an extended period of time as they walked a considerable distance away from their apartment during a domestic dispute.

The two children were uninjured and were home sleeping, according to police.

The pair will answer the charge at a later date.
