Geneva man charged with possession of 50 bags of heroin

On Thursday morning at about 1:30 am, an observant citizen called in a complaint of a suspicious vehicle with one occupant on Columbia Street in the City of Geneva. Upon arrival and investigation by marked Geneva Police units it was discovered that Timothy J. Jones, age 31 of 21 Jefferson Avenue in Geneva, was in possession of heroin and cocaine.

The suspect possessed over 50 bags of heroin packaged for sale and an amount of cocaine. The street value of the heroin discovered was estimated by Geneva Police at over $1,000.

Jones was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, a Class B Felony

The subject was arraigned in Geneva City Court on Thursday morning at 9:30 am.
