Stanley man hospitalized at Strong after motorcycle crash

A Stanley man was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital on Tuesday after he was involved in an accident with his motorcycle.

Deputies in Ontario County say that Douglas S. Lightfoote, 35, of Stanley was traveling south on Freshour Road when he lost control of his motorcycle — getting ejected from the bike, and rolling a short distance from where he left the motorcycle.

Lightfoote complained of pain in his right foot and ribs. Deputies say that the right foot was broken. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital via Canandaigua Ambulance.

The accident happened shortly after noon in the Town of Hopewell. No traffic citations were issued as Lightfoote was said to be traveling appropriate speed, and wearing all legally required protective equipment.
