On the afternoon of October 22, Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to three car personal injury crash that occurred on State Route 96 in the Town of Waterloo.

Upon investigating the incident Deputies learned that Elizabeth J. Kouwe, age 81 of 2131 Pump House Road in the Town of Seneca Falls, was following vehicles too closely. By the time Elizabeth realized traffic was stopping she had no time to stop her vehicle and rear-ended another vehicle.

The second vehicle was operated by Christopher Webster, age 39 of 365 North Avenue in Avon, and passenger Laurie Webster, age 37 of the same address. Christopher and Laurie sustained no injuries.

This action pushed Webster’s vehicle into a third vehicle operated by Jason Herron, age 39 of 8 Maple Street in Seneca Falls, with passengers Jayme Herron, age 37 and their child.

No major injuries occurred from the crash.

Elizabeth was issued a ticket for following to closely. Elizabeth is to appear in the Town of Waterloo Court at a later date and time.
