Ed Bowman vowed he wouldn’t give up a quest to push lawmakers into creating legislation that would help protect patients from abusive medical-care workers. Since moving back to the area from Florida earlier this year, the 76-year-old Bowman has contacted numerous federal and state lawmakers. He wants legislation adopted that would keep healthcare workers who have abused patients from moving to other hospitals without the new facilities knowing their backgrounds.
