Two dogs found in Gorham; Naples man charged with ‘animal abandonment’

On October 4th at about 8 am the Ontario County Humane Society received two Dachshund dogs at their facility that were found the day before on West Swamp Road in the Town of Gorham.

The dogs were placed on the offices’ website as found and shortly later information was received in regards to their owner and how they turned up on West Swamp Road.

An investigation by the Humane Society revealed that Lloyd C. Webster, 36, of Naples had taken the two dogs, Peanut and Precious, to West Swamp Road where he released them because he couldn’t take them to his new residence.

Webster was arrested and charged with two counts of animal abandonment. He will answer those charges in Gorham Town Court at a later date.

The two dogs remain with the Humane Society.
