HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH
September 1st: Tragedy struck on Seneca Lake when an adult male drowned and went missing. A two day operation with the Sheriff’s Office, Fire Services and several police agencies resulted in the recovery of the missing victim.
September 6th: The School Resource Officer Program started at Romulus Central School. Romulus was the last school district in our county lacking a SRO.
September 14th: Road Patrol seized heroin and arrested three subjects on a traffic stop in Waterloo.
September 16th: The Narco Unit took down a heroin dealer and seized 158 bags of heroin as well as cocaine and narcotic pills. The heroin and cocaine were pre-packaged for sale in Seneca County.
September 17th: The Sheriff’s Office held its first Open House in over 20 years.
September 20th: A Domestic Violence Incident developed into a Stand Off in Border City involving young children an illegal knife and a replica pistol. The situation was resolved with no injury to anyone.
September 28th: Investigators solved a grand larceny case totaling over $13,000 at Waterloo Premium Outlets in the Town of Junius.
In September Officers completed training in Disability Awareness and Elder Abuse.
