For about 75 minutes during the early-morning hours of Aug. 16, 2015, Ali Russ was getting his girlfriend and her children home safely — despite being up all night and driving drunk. He had about 10 minutes to go, maybe less. Then, Russ fell asleep at the wheel. The van he was driving hit a telephone pole near Geneva Harley-Davidson.
