On Tuesday, a Groton man accepted a deal in court, which involved pleading guilty to felony first-degree criminal possession of marijuana and third-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon. Christopher Herson and another individual were found with 67 pounds of marijuana, packaging material and a stolen gun. The plea deal means that Herson will minimally be spending the next two years behind bars, with a mandatory five years spent under post-release supervision.
