Seneca Falls woman charged with violating protection order; attempted to enter home

A Seneca Falls resident has been charged after allegedly trying to enter another person’s home where an order of protection existed.

The Seneca Falls Police Department say that on August 18 at approximately 8:53 am officers arrested Diane T. Durnin, 66, of Seneca Falls for criminal contempt in the second degree. She is accused of attempting to enter the home of a local resident when an order of protection was in effect between herself and the resident.

Durnin was arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court and released on her own recognizance. She will appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
