The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Sodus man was charged after an incident on Sodus Center Rd. in the Town of Sodus on August 13, 2016.
Deputies say that Garrick Powers, 24, of Sodus allegedly entered a home on Sodus Center Rd., which did not belong to him or anyone he knew. When deputies arrived, they said that Powers was still on-scene and appeared to be impaired by drugs or alcohol.
Powers was transported by Sodus Town Ambulance to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital to assess injuries to his face, which were from an unknown cause.
Deputies say Powers was charged with criminal trespass in the second degree and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument. He was arraigned in Sodus Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $2,0000 cash bail, or $4,000 insurance bond.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by New York State Police and Sodus Town Ambulance Corp.
